Jeffrey Cohon has been a civil litigation attorney for over 20 years. Mr. Cohon’s principal areas of practice include labor and employment and commercial litigation. He has represented multinational enterprises, small businesses, executives, and individuals in a broad range of litigation matters.
Mr. Cohon started practicing law with a defense firm in downtown Los Angeles and later formed a law firm with offices in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. In the last 21 years, he has handled hundreds of matters in the state and federal courts. He has tried over 200 arbitrations, 100 labor hearings and 40 trials. Mr. Cohon regularly serves as an arbitrator and as a mediator as an admitted panelist for the Los Angeles Superior Court. He represents a wide variety of clients in wage and hour disputes; claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation; issues of workplace violence; FMLA and CFRA compliance; trade secret litigation; plant closures and reductions in force; and workplace privacy matters. Mr. Cohon’s practice has also involved a heavy load of appellate work. Some of his appellate achievements include several published appellate decisions.
Mr. Cohon earned his B.A. Degree in 1984 from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and earned his law degree in 1987 from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
