They have faced the reality that there may not be enough space in the jail or money in the programs that exist to accommodate the state prison realignment proposals. Now it’s time for a plan. Some counties have opted for ankle bracelet monitoring systems, leasing bed space from other facilities and a myriad of options to accommodate the projected increase of people on county probation or in county jail.
