In her recently published article, Emerging Second Amendment Jurisprudence, Michel & Associates attorney Bobbie Ross discusses recent developments in the practice area of firearms law and Second Amendment advocacy. The article was published in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation’s Minority Trial Lawyer. It can be found online here.

The article discusses the appropriate level of legal scrutiny to apply in reviewing Second Amendment challenges, the questions left unanswered by the Supreme Court in the wake of the Heller and McDonald cases, and an overview of firearms-related cases that are currently being litigated across the country. Ms. Ross also discusses the potential problems for the unwary would-be firearms law practitioner – noting that it’s easy for well-meaning individuals to do more harm than good.
