New York Times Runs NSSF Letter to the Editor

The New York Times ran a letter to the editor from NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel Lawrence G. Keane responding to the paper’s opposition to the ATF Reform and Modernization Act .  In his letter, Keane said, “It is regrettable that you oppose federal legislation that will help law enforcement and further empower the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.” Keane went on to correct misinformation in the editorial noting that the ATF Reform and Modernization Act does not make it harder for A.T.F. to pull a corrupt gun dealer’s license and, in fact, “enhances A.T.F
