The California Public Defenders Association presents the CPDA Annual Homicide Defense Seminar Friday & Saturday, September 9th & 10th, 2011, at The San Diego Kona Kai Marina Hotel 1551 Shelter Island Drive, San Diego, California 92106 Program Coordinators: Kathleen Cannon, Deputy Public Defender, San Diego County Juliana Humphrey, Deputy Public Defender, San Diego County Michael Ogul, Deputy Public Defender, Santa Clara County CPDA has put together a special seminar that will address a substantial number of issues that arise in defending homicide cases in Calfornia. We plan to cover such topics as creative negotiations in homicide cases, fighting gang allegations, identifying the prosecutor`s theme, mental state issues and mental defenses, handling Watson murders, and a review of the law of homicide, and how to challenge forensic evidence and the experts, and more! The featured speakers are all very experienced in these areas and we are sure you will gain a great deal of knowledge and skills by attending this two-day program.
