Depending on where you are located, some cities and counties might be giving entrepreneurs a gentle nudge by helping with funding and giving them access to facilities, reports The Wall Street Journal. And, by having all of the same types of business lumped into one locale, friendly competition might brew. This type of competition might encourage entrepreneurs to become more innovative in order gain an edge on the competition. The Wall Street Journal has named the hubs as: Ogden, Utah: Outdoor Sports Gear San Antonio, Texas: Cybersecurity Kansas City, Missouri: Information Technology Indianapolis, Indiana: Life Sciences Albany, New York: Nanotechnology Asheville, North Carolina: Beer Brewing Nashville, Tennessee: Health Care Uprooting your business if you’ve already started might be more than a little troublesome. And, there’s no real guarantee that moving to a “hot hub” will actually provide benefits. But, experts do say that being a part of a big group of developers has multiple benefits. Hubs can help draw investors who are drawn by the deluge of new businesses, and can also catch the attention of the government, reports The Wall Street Journal. So if you’re thinking of where to start your business, maybe you should consider one of these new “hot hubs.” Start-up companies need all the help they can get during their early stages and a “hot hub” might be able to provide benefits you can’t find anywhere else.
