Civil Rights Lawyer and NRA / CRPA Spokesman Joins Host Pat Leeds for a Discussion of the Second Amendment and Firearms
Georgetown, Calif., Tuesday, Feb. 28. 2012 — On Wednesday, February 29, 2012 from 4-5 pm (PST), renowned civil rights attorney Chuck Michel, Senior Counsel with the law firm of Michel & Associates, will be a guest on KFOK Community Radio’s “All About Guns” program [see KFOK press release]. Chuck will be on the show to discuss issues concerning Second Amendment litigation, concealed carry of firearms, and his upcoming book “California Firearms Laws – A Guide for Gun Owners.”
Michel is an attorney and spokesman for the National Rifle Association, the California Rifle and Pistol Association, and many other organizations. He has fought for the right to keep and bear arms in the courts for almost 20 years. He has also worked as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, represented Exxon Corporation in connection with the Exxon Valdez oil spill, and served as staff counsel to the Christopher Commission, which, under the leadership of Warren Christopher (later US Secretary of State under Bill Clinton) investigated the Los Angeles Police Department in the wake of the Rodney King incident.
Michel has been featured in dozens of television and radio interviews and in hundreds of newspaper articles. He has been lead counsel in more than 50 jury trials and has represented many clients in high-profile cases that garnered significant state and national media attention.
Michel is also an adjunct professor at Chapman University School of Law in Orange, California, where he teaches courses in Firearms Law and Law Practice Management.
