Is SCOTUS Staying Silent on 2A Cases… or Is Something Bigger Brewing?

After last Friday’s Supreme Court conference, several high-profile Second Amendment cases—like Duncan v. Bonta—were expected to appear on the order list. Yesterday, the Court’s order list did not include any of them. Does that mean “no news is good news,” or is time running out?

Attorney Anna Barvir, who has worked extensively on Duncan v. Bonta, sees reason for cautious optimism. On the latest episode of CRPA TV, she breaks down the burning questions for SCOTUS and the 2A:

  • Having addressed “who” can exercise 2A rights and “where” they can be exercised, is it inevitable the Court will tackle the “what” of firearms next?
  • Could broader guidance come through cases like Wolford or Hemani, and what could that mean for gun owners?
  • What happens if the Court opts to “grant, vacate, and remand” (GVR) a case back to the Ninth Circuit—again? How might this affect owners of standard capacity magazines?

WATCH CRPA TV NOW to hear Anna’s insights and stay on top of this historic year for Second Amendment jurisprudence. Decisions are expected this summer, and the legal landscape for 2A rights is poised to shift.
